True Freedom

Now that Purim is over, we have less than four weeks until Passover. Many folks are beginning their spring cleaning and other Pesach preparations. Don't forget, though - the spiritual preparations for the "Holiday of Freedom" (Passover marks G-d's redemption of the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt 3,321 years ago) are just as important as the material preparations.

Freedom

True freedom means that you are at liberty to seek the truth, even if that's not the popular thing to do. True freedom means that you don't carry around a ball and chain of conformity. True freedom is an ability to break free from anything that stifles your soul. When you walk away from a peer group that's doing something wrong, you are free. If you do what's right despite jeer and ridicule, then you're both courageous and free. There's no better feeling. Have a wonderful Shabbat Ki Tisa.
